Create an artificial recirculating whitewater course
that has a stand alone holding pond that provides water for the course.
The water would simply be pumped from the lower holding pond, up 20-25
feet (depending on design) and flow down the artificial river channel
creating Class I to Class IV whitewater rapids. Creative course design
could allow for multiple routes and options to attain by foot or boat, back
to the start pool (with beginner boaters in mind). In figure B, for
example, a 9 year beginner kayaker could essentially recirculate the easier
part of the course without having to tackle the class III+ rapids.
This concept in course design will foster the development of new paddlers
and include all ages and experience levels.
